Design System

Brought on as the leader of the very first in house UX design team at Gallagher, my role is to create, maintain and evangelize design systems that promote a more cohesive, accessible and modern user experience across digital touchpoints globally.

My first undertaking in that regard has been reimagining the digital experience for RPS, a company AJG recently acquired. Here are some highlights of the custom design system v1.0 that I created:

• Recreated the type scale with robust and concise set of text styles, plus special classes for efficiently overriding color and weight as needed.
• Included conventions to allow for more direct transfer between design and development.
• Configured components to be dynamic, enabling design teams to quickly leverage into actual designs with actual content.
• Structured for scalability by allowing design teams to stay synced with component updates as the design system evolves.
